I
work mainly with traditional cameras and available light, using
black and white negative film. I enjoy the workflow of film, but
digital processing is also an essential aspect of image creation.
I have been shooting film and scanning the negatives for the web
and for print for several years.
Some
of my older cameras date from the 1930's and 40's. They are fun
to use and some of them have exceptional lenses, but I've also designed
and built cameras, including a 4"x5" cherrywood field
camera that I use for landscape and still life.
The
Swansea area of South Wales (UK) where I live offers access to breathtaking
mountain, moor, and coastal landscapes, and also to the most wonderful
people.
